6 Wonderful Years
Happy Anniversary, my dear husband!
Wow, how has it been 6 years already? It seems like just yesterday that I was peaking out the window of my college apartment with Melissa to check you out as you came up the stairs to pick me up for our first date. I knew right away that there was just "something" about you. My mom asked how I felt about you after that date and all I could say was that I just had to see you again; you were so intriguing and confident. To this day I have never heard of anyone having an 12 hour first date, much less a blind date! (Much thanks to Ashley for setting us up! You will always be so dear to our hearts - thank you for being a part of bringing us together, we are forever grateful!!!) Of course, you had seen a picture of me, which was very unfair! You picked me up in that white Z71 - I must admit I was impressed by your truck! At lunch I ordered a salad and pretty much cut everything on it; you still say that was your clue that I was high maintenance! Next we went antiquing in Navasota, where we really got to know each other and began to learn how much we had in common - especially our families, beliefs and interests. By dinner I was really thinking that this was special and was really looking forward to a next date! After I visited Lufkin a few weekends later, I was hooked. I could go on forever, but as they say, the rest is history!
Three houses, numerous careers, lots of antique ventures, too many pets to count and two kids later, here we are...still in love.
In these short six years we have made it through so much. Too much I would say. Laughter, tears, life and death, better and worse - I guess those vows really do say it all! Thank you for sticking with me through all the ebb and flow of marriage and life. You have blessed me more than I could have ever imagined and given me a life of which I could never have dreamed! Thank you. You will always be my man.
Forever,
Bonny
