Hello Friends

Yes, we are still here and there are exciting things happening in our little corner of the world. I am mostly busy chasing the boys - John too now that he has the army crawl down to a science. That little guy has gotten fast! We are loving working on landscaping the yard and are so excited to be returning to one of our favorite things - gardening. I will post pictures soon.

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the newest member of the family... Adeline Claire Allen. She is a month old, but is finally arriving in Texas!!! Her Papa and Nana are the only ones who have gotten to meet her so we are all very excited to see her in person. They are driving from Pennsylvania and should arrive tomorrow morning. Ben and John already love their cousin Addy.

Happy Birthday to Caroline! I can't believe that she is a year old already. She had the cutest party tonight and was adorable eating her first little cake. Ben and John had a great time playing with cousin Caroline - they are going to have such a good time growing up together. Little Anna was at the party too - what a doll; we loved getting to meet her!

Last weekend John, Ben and I took a trip to Houston to visit my dear friend, Amanda. I have to say I was proud of myself for making the trip by myself - it was worth braving the traffic! We spent the weekend with her and her precious son, Jackson. It was fun to get to catch up on some girl time and just be with my friend again. We enjoyed the zoo and the boys loved riding the train. I think they liked seeing the tractors who were cleaning up after Ike more than anything! Amanda's new house is so beautiful and truly a warm and inviting home. Thank you for hosting us Amanda - I love you!

David is staying busy, as usual, and juggling a ton of projects at the same time, as usual. We have had several estate sales lately and are working on a few more in the upcoming months. Real estate and all the repairs on our rental properties from Ike are very time consuming as well.

I am looking forward to a normal Saturday at home. Not sure what we will do, but at least I will be with my boys. The everyday is so much more fun when we are all together.

Hey girl! Jackson has not stopped asking for Ben every time he wakes up in the morning or from his nap. He comes out and says, "Wake up, Ben!" In a perfect world we'd be down the street neighbors and they could play all the time. I hope y'all have a great Saturday!
Love ya,
Mand
