Ominous would be the only word to describe the arrival of hurricane Ike. We snapped some pictures and enjoyed a little time outside before it hit. Ben got some much needed tricycle time and we moved everything outside to a safer place to try and prevent flying objects.
We actually had an estate sale scheduled for this weekend. The funny thing is, we had to postpone it a week because Gustuv was on its way. Well, it turned out to me nothing! The sale was a really big one, consisting of three estates in two houses, so we wanted to go on with it. We were able to open Friday and had a good croud - some evacuees included! Lots of people asked when we were going to open the next day...seriously? Do they watch the news!

I just love yall's house. It is so beautiful. Glad to hear yall survived the storm as well. Pretty scary huh?
