The Lake

Earlier this summer, we made a family trip to San Saba and to our lake house. It was so good to relax and to be with the family. Unfortunately, my sweet niece, Landry came down with the chicken pox so we were not able to see my sister Kristen's family. We missed you Olivers!

Ben enjoyed the trip so much - it was filled with so many of his favorite things: Mimi and Daddy Jim, cousin Caleb and Aunt Beth! Not to mention Daddy Jim's tractor, trailers, cows and dogs. The swimming pool was quite a hit too! For days after we returned home Ben asked to go to Mimi and Daddy Jim's house when we got in the car - if only it were closer.

I think this will be a forever favorite of mine. What a beautiful picture! It is so special to see my sweet Dad interact and play with my boys. I am blessed for them to see his Godly example. Love you Dad!
